Mechanical Engineer

As part of the Plant Optimization team, the ideal person will become proficient in analyzing a variety of mechanical systems and equipment using condition based and thermal performance modeling and monitoring software. Interact with customers to support model development, maintenance and analysis of mechanical equipment and heat exchangers.

Your Challenge:

  • Master all features of a condition based and thermal performance monitoring software. Using this software, assess new and existing equipment to detect issues, optimize efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Collect data and interprets results, conduct analysis and write analysis and reports. Capability to draw conclusions and reconcile differences between predicted and actual results.
  • Plan and coordinate with customers on a variety of engineering solutions including reporting, and making technical or other presentations to ensure visibility of the solution(s) in an evolving environment.
  • Build models of power plants and equipment assets for condition based and thermal performance monitoring using in-house software.
  • Interact with customers to ensure equipment is operated, maintained and serviced properly.
  • Provides technical support.

Your Expertise:

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 2-3 years experience in similar Mechanical Engineering function
  • Experience in Power plant equipment or systems
  • Good problem solving capabilities
  • Capable of coordinating multiple projects
  • Must be a team player and have knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Ability to perform analysis and studies with strong attention to details in a fast paced environment
  • Experience working in remote server environments (VPN, VMWare, Citrix)

Travel:

Up to 10% to customer sites
