Area Sales Manager

This exciting Houston, TX based regional territory manager position involves representing the EST Group in the North American sales market and selling innovative mechanical products and services. Customers are primarily Refining, Chemical, Power Generation, EPC firms, Fabricators, and Industrial Contractors. This is a remote, territory-based position.

Location: Houston, TX

Your Challenge:

  • Independently manage assigned customers and develop new leads within the assigned territory to achieve annual business plans
  • Work with existing manufacturers' representative organizations and distributors performing product demonstrations and sales calls.
  • Review customers' needs as they apply to our products and services, and coordinate quote and quote follow-up.
  • Make on-site presentations and close sales.
  • Provide factory support within the assigned region.
  • Participate in Trade Shows and Conferences as required.
  • Respond to and resolve customer problems.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with customers to ensure immediate and future sales.
  • Prepare Expense reports as required.
  • Analyzes "Sales to Forecast" performance monthly. Create and implement action plans to meet territory sales revenue forecast.

Your Expertise:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Industry experience with heat exchangers, piping, and hydrostatic testing equipment desirable
  • Prior experience managing a sales territory is required. Experience with Manufacturers Representatives and Distributors desirable. Territory forecasting skills desirable
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) computer skills desired
  • CRM experience. MS Dynamics a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Customer service orientation with an assertive personality and high energy level
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel domestically within the territory 50% required
  • Valid Drivers License. Ability to qualify for a TWIC card
