Spare Parts Coordinator

Front line contact with respect to sales of spare and replacement parts. Respond to customer inquiries for price, availability and delivery. Majority of customers are representatives of military establishments which requires a high degree of accuracy and special requirements for custom manufactured items. Liaison with operations regarding cost inputs for quotation purposes and ascertaining status of contractual commitments.

Your Challenge:

  • Ensure all work is performed according to the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Prepare and submit bids.
  • Internally expedite orders.
  • Enter sales orders in to the MRP business system.
  • Maintain data base of customers, orders and quotation inquiries.
  • Make recommendations on inventory levels to satisfy projected demands.
  • Prepare quotes from cost data and application of appropriate labour and material mark-ups.
  • Coordinate with operations regarding status of contract deliverables and ensure management and customers are advised of any changes or potential issues.
  • Follows every reasonable precaution to ensure work is performed following the Health & Safety procedures. Immediately report accidents and incidents and participate in their investigations

Your Expertise:

  • Completed Business and/or technical diploma
  • 5 years experience in large equipment manufacturing and understanding of basic US Government contract methods.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent Computer skills in MS Office, Word and Excel.
  • MRP system experience
  • Stocking procedures within a defence contracting environment

This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must meet eligibility requirements of the ITAR and of the Controlled Goods Directorate (CDG) and/or a Canadian government security clearance.
