The Opportunity- Staff Accountant

Develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. Perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, and operating forecasts. Perform economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.

Your Challenge

  • Prepare and analyze month-end financial reports; reviewing for accuracy or omissions, reporting findings to management and alert management to significant variances to plan and forecast.

  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required

  • Responsible to adhere to compliance requirements for applicable regulations, internal controls and Corporate policies and procedures.

  • Coordinates, resolve, and ensure financial compliance with regulatory agencies.

  • Work with business unit managers and leaders regarding financial performance.

  • Assist in documenting and updating accounting policies and procedures.

  • Analyze processes and procedures to identify any opportunities for improving operating efficiencies.

  • Process and maintain general ledger, profit and loss, income and balance sheet statements, and payroll systems.

  • Develop plans including budgets and forecasts.

  • Provide in-depth financial analysis, interpreting results and making recommendations to management.

Your Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA Preferred but not required

  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting

  • Experience with General Ledgers and financial reporting

  • Advanced expertise in excel

  • Strong communication skills
