Field Technician

Under minimal supervision, the Field Technician provides technical support to engineers, on site or field, on a variety of complex technical tasks. Gathers technical data from testing hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical devices and produces results to engineering team for analysis.

Location: Brea, CA

Your Challenge:

  • Conducts tests and records data on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical devices
  • Collects and produces technical data for engineering team
  • Installs, maintains, repairs, overhauls, troubleshoots, modifies, and tests various types of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical equipment and related devices using various test equipment.
  • Understands and interprets hydraulic schematics and general electrical & mechanical drawings. Applies general technical knowledge of electronic principles in order to put equipment in operational condition and solve problems.
  • Builds, develops, and maintains productive relationships with clients and vendors while maintaining a high level of quality technical service.

Your Expertise:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to comprehend hydraulics schematics in addition to basic mechanical and electrical drawings
  • 4-6+ years of relevant experience in hydraulics testing
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems with engineered products.
  • Capable of reading engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, assembly, hydraulic schematics and following test instructions as they are written.
  • Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment highly desired
  • Ability to travel 20-40% of the time is necessary
