The Opportunity | Internal Auditor


Internal Audit is a profession of critical importance to the governance, risk and compliance functions relating to the global capital markets. As an Internal Auditor, Staff, you will be an integral member of the Curtiss-Wright Corporation Internal Audit Group, and gain a deep understanding of Curtiss-Wright through executing complex audit procedures in the completion of a variety of important audit projects.


Reporting to the Internal Auditor, Sr., and working with a team of highly motivated audit and business management professionals, you will have the opportunity to navigate the multifaceted and demanding regulatory and technical accounting landscapes and experience the many diverse industries and business environments that are a part of the Curtiss-Wright organization.


Your Challenge



  • Perform risk-based business-unit audits that integrate both substantive financial statement based audit procedures in addition to operating and design effectiveness testing of internal controls.

  • Assume responsibility for completing audit procedures as directed by the Internal Auditor, Sr.

  • Ensure fieldwork is performed in compliance with scheduled deadlines and as stipulated through detailed audit programs.

  • Adequately demonstrate adept communication skills through the preparation of well-documented and concise audit work papers.

  • Assist in the coordination of efforts with the external audit team and efficiently manage the process for responding to and tracking the fulfillment of procedures performed on their behalf.

  • Travel up to 20% to the various business units included in the Curtiss-Wright organization located throughout the United States and abroad.

  • Other duties as assigned



Your Expertise



  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting

  • Project management skills as evidenced by participation on multiple, simultaneous financial audits, or commensurate undergraduate course experience..

  • Solid PC skills with demonstrated proficiency in office productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, etc.).

  • Proficient written and oral communication skills.

  • Must be eligible for, interested in, and pursuing the Certified Public Accountant certification.

  • Foreign nationals or candidates with dual citizenships are ineligible for this position.
