Perform independent work in the machine shop by operating all equipment according to quality and safety standards.

Your Challenge:

  • Perform independent work in the machine shop by operating all equipment according to quality and safety standards to company, customer or industry specifications. Perform machine shop functions to support the laboratory testing for IMR departments as required. Equipment includes but is not limited to: manual mill, manual lathe, CNC mill, CNC lathe, saws and forklift.
  • Operate CNC machines to fabricate parts, provide specimens and fixtures for testing to other departments, and provide machining services for outside customers as needed. Maintain a clean, neat and safe machine shop. Perform first piece inspection and log off of jobs.
  • Interface with our customers as necessary to assure that a high level of on time delivery and customer satisfaction is met.
  • Meet deadlines for internal customers to ensure that laboratory testing is completed on time.

Your Expertise:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to learn and train with others in machine shop and mechanical department.
  • Ability to read diagrams and related materials.
  • Be able to frequently lift, push, and pull objects that may weigh up to 50 pounds.
