The Opportunity | Manufacturing Supervisor


The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. They will be required to prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply as well as develop schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. They will also need to select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.


Your Challenge



  • Assign and supervise the work of production employees to meet all quality requirements and production schedules.

  • Review schedules and adjust workflow to meet schedule requirements and minimize downtime while ensuring that work assignments are performed to manufacturing and quality procedures.

  • Enforce company policies, safety rules, and good housekeeping. Taking appropriate corrective actions when necessary.

  • Evaluate performance of production employees, and take corrective action when appropriate.

  • Assist with managing operating costs, including inventoried items.

  • Assure proper handling of all parts being processed; provide support to shop personnel with part handling, machine set-up, and required consumables if necessary.

  • Change agent for promoting a Lean and 5s'd facility. Encourage housekeeping and organizing initiatives to improve curb appeal, reduce workplace hazards, and help maintain equipment upkeep.


Your Expertise



  • 4-6 years' of supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layouts and process worksheets and inspect parts.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively.

  • Associates degree in a technical field is preferred.
