Job Description

Curtiss-Wright is looking for a Production Test Technician to join our Industrial Division at our new facility by Bournemouth Airport. Working as part of our busy team you will working on a range of products testing and investigating faults and failures.


The successful candidate will be have solid fault finding skills, excellent attention to detail skills and strong communication skills.

Position Summary & Major tasks



  • Testing and investigating Industrial products returned by customers to identifying failure causes and determine appropriate rework or repair schemes

  • Recording investigation findings in a manner suitable for direct customer response including the use of 8D format reports

  • Performing repair or rework in accordance with company workmanship guidelines

  • Complying with health, safety and environmental requirements applicable to work being undertaken

  • Supporting production activities by investigating and repairing end-of-line test failures.

  • Determining the root causes of failures and identify improvement opportunities where appropriate.

  • Supporting department activities such as 5S, stock management and general housekeeping.

Qualifications/Experience



  • BTEC ONC in electronics or relevant experience

  • Strong computer skills

  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised

  • Able to work under pressure, produce quality work with attention to detail

  • A team player able to fit in with an existing team

  • Ability to read schematic diagrams and working knowledge of electronic fault finding and repair techniques would be desirable

This position may require exposure to information which is subject to export control regulations such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
