The Opportunity | Quality Inspector


Under minimal supervision, performs a wide variety of mechanical inspections of mission critical product in accordance with IPC-610 & IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 requirements. Familiar with AQL Single/Double Sampling Plan. Proficient in the use of mechanical measurement tools such as, Calipers, Micrometers, Height/Thread gages etc. Familiar with quality control concepts, Mil-Standards, practices and procedures. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Responsible for the acceptance of conforming and non-conforming product. Experienced in Source Inspections of subcontractor manufactured Printed Wiring Assemblies. Must be able to strictly adhere to all quality control processes and procedures.


Major Accountabilities/Deliverables:



  • Performs inspections on mission critical product in accordance with manufacturing work instructions

  • Perform Incoming inspection on electronic components in accordance with SCD's and Mil-Standard requirements.

  • Perform dimensional inspections on raw material & mechanical assemblies in accordance with drawing requirements.

  • Work with established procedures and document results

  • Prepares product verification documentation

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel based software


Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar mechanical inspection role

  • Technical/Trade school required. 2 year associates degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar field preferred.

  • Ability to read blueprint drawings

  • Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
