The Opportunity | Quality Manager

Business Unit of a global leader in metal processing seeks a dynamic individual to join our management team. As Quality Manager, the selected person will maintain overall responsibility for quality system implementation and effectiveness, ensuring alignment with organization, industry, customer and regulatory expectations, while focusing on operational efficiency and continuous improvement. This position reports to the Business Unit Manager.

Your Challenge

  • Formulate and execute quality assurance objectives in alignment with Corporate and Business Unit goals.

  • Ensure alignment with the established AS9100 Quality Management System and customer specification requirements.

  • Direct inspection and testing personnel to promote effective control of processes and products

  • Interface with members of the management team to communicate the status of process compliance and enhance overall operation of the facility

  • Implement audit functions ensuring quality systems and processes are consistent with internal documentation, standards and customer requirements

  • Drive corrective and preventive action processes

  • Identify training needs and introduces facility-level plans for completion

  • Maintain customer relations to promote quality initiatives and interpret impact of process/product engineering changes

  • Develop continuous improvement initiatives that integrate Total Quality Management and Lean concepts.

Your Expertise

  • An academic degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Operations Management or Business Management

  • A minimum of 3 years practical experience as a Quality Manager or Quality Engineer with exposure to the aerospace industry and Nadcap accreditation program

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office

  • Functional understanding of ISO9001:2008 or AS9100 Quality Management Systems

  • Functional understanding of FAA Repair Station Systems.

  • The ability to interpret customer specifications and engineering drawings
