Senior Mechanical Technician

As a senior mechanical technician, you will be responsible for the general day to day maintenance from oil changes, trouble shooting, electomechanical repairs with upto 15% travel to the diferent power sectors. 

Location: Middleburg Heights, OH

Shift :       6:30am-2:30pm

Your Challenge:

• Repair and troubleshooting of mechanical systems within the facility including but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and machinery.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical and mechanical systems including those found in mechanical and CNC programmed machinery.

• Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
• Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
• Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.

• Working knowledge of shop and machine safety procedures.
• Flexible, self-motivated, good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Must be willing/ able to work overtime and weekends as business needs require.
• This role involves 15% travel to nuclear power plants to install and train for the installation of bolting product.
• Due to the work at the nuclear power plants, the candidate must be able to pass an FBI background check.

Your Expertise:

• High School or GED required
• Technical/Trade School preferred
• 10 - 12 years of machine shop experience
• Lifting, pushing, pulling 50lbs.
• Standing / Sitting
• Facility related repair and maintenance experience
• CNC and manual mill / lathe repair/maintenance experience
• Mazak Turning Centers experience is a plus.
• PC skills
• Lift truck experience
