The Opportunity | Senior Program Manager

Leads cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or existing products. Oversees assigned programs/projects from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending. Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project i.e. product on schedule and within budget constraints. Also responsible for driving assigned programs to meet sales, gross margin and cash flow objectives.

Your Challenge

  • Leads the Program team to ensure that requirements are executed in accordance with contracts, specifications, schedules and budgets.

  • Serves as the primary point of contact to the customer for assigned programs.

  • Anticipates potential schedule or priority delays and develops alternative actions, advising the Director of Program Management, as necessary.

  • Responsible for program management tasks including scheduling, administration, and accounting.

  • Exercises delegated authority for planning, directing, coordinating, administering, and executing many routine and complex projects/programs.

  • Establishes detailed program for product shipments and material billings to meet customer need, Company financial plan and other objectives.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.

Your Expertise

  • Customer management, scope management, demand planning, resource planning, program monitoring and control, program reviews, P&L ownership. project management, negotiation.

  • Action oriented; passionate; customer focused; able to make timely and quality decisions; driven for results, and; able to maintain perseverance.

  • Must possess skills in communication, team building and motivation, negotiation, organization, planning, priority setting, problem solving and root cause corrective action.

  • Discrete manufacturing experience, preferably in a Defense or Nuclear business.

  • Knowledge of MS Office.

  • Six (6) years related experience in project management.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • Master's Degree preferred.
