The Quality Engineer oversees the quality program at IMR Test Labs -- Portland. They will ensure that all testing is done by trained employees per the appropriate specifications and procedures using properly calibrated equipment. This individual will also ensure that all safe work practices and quality compliance requirements are met.

Your Challenge:

  • Serve as Quality Engineer for IMR - Portland. Ensure the maintenance of the calibration system for equipment, standards, and facilities.
  • Manage document control for external specification and internal procedures and documents.
  • Coordinate the round robin and proficiency testing programs according to corporate quality procedures.
  • Manage approved vendors according to corporate quality procedures.
  • Interface with customers to resolve customer complaints.
  • Investigate and establish corrective actions including root cause analysis for non-conformances.
  • Oversee internal, customer and accreditation (A2LA & Nadcap) audits.
  • Coordinate resolution of audit issues and findings.
  • Ensure that quality training is delivered on site.
  • Lead change and Continuous Improvement activities throughout the departments
  • Serve as Site Safety Coordinator and ensure compliance with CW Environmental Health and Safety Program.

Your Expertise:

  • 2-3 years of quality experience (preferred experience with ISO 17025, Nadcap, NQA-1).
  • Experience (preferred) with metallic testing.
  • Proficient with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Can interpret drawings and specifications
  • Demonstrated experience leading or participating in quality/accreditation audits
  • Experience in root cause analysis
  • Organization and attention to detail
  • 2-3 years of experience in quality manager or quality engineer role or commensurate experience.
  • Experience working with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work within the following working conditions: spending extensive amount of time sitting, having potential exposure to noise, chemicals, and light lifting.
