The Opportunity | Linux Systems Engineer

Curtiss-Wright EMD is searching for a Systems Engineer for the Engineering Information Technology (EIT) group. The position includes Linux operating system administration across several of our local networks in support of both our manufacturing operations and our engineering analysts.

Location: Cheswick, PA (Greater Pittsburgh)

The Challenge:

• Manage regular RHEL kick starts, patches and upgrades across 3 networks (workstations and servers)
  
  
• Address security vulnerabilities identified by scanning (Nessus) on Linux systems
  
  
• Orchestrate configuration management and auditing using Gitlab/Ansible/Tower
  
  
• Manage central monitoring and alerting for Linux systems

• Upgrade and maintain network multifactor authentication servers and systems (PrivacyIdea)

• Configure and maintain computational clusters and workstations to support complex end-user analyses.

• Service desk support for Linux-based end-user needs

• Virtualization infrastructure and server management (Scale, VMware)
  
  
• Work with IS security to ensure customer requirements and internal security plans are met
  
  
• Ensure work is in accordance with policies, procedures and instructions while abiding by safety, environmental, and security rules and guidelines

Your Expertise:

• Must be a US citizen and obtain and maintain DOD secret level clearance
• Bachelor Degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science or 5+ years of relevant experience
• Minimum relevant experience of 3 years
• Linux/RHEL/CentOS Operating System experience
• Experience with configuration management / automation tools (Ansible, Salt, Puppet, Chef)

The following experience / credentials would be useful in this role:

• Relevant experience of 10+ years
• RedHat Certified System Administrator or Engineer
• Prior experience with implementation of information systems in a security restricted environment
