Test Technician (Entry Level) 

Performs routine mechanical tests which include tensile testing, hardness testing, hydrogen embrittlement testing and bend testing suing industry standard equipment and tools. Other types of testing may also be required. Perform lab and equipment maintenance and housekeeping, including periodic preventative maintenance as assigned. Maintain a high level of quality and participate in ensuring a safe work environment.

Hours: Day shift

Your Challenge:

  • Follow written IMR procedures, applicable industry standards, and customer supplied specifications and methods to properly perform tests on Charpy impact tester, tensile test frame, hardness tester, etc.
  • Follow IMR's quality procedures and maintain a high level of quality.
  • Provide adequate turnaround time to persons assigning work.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain communication with coworkers and supervisors/managers. Adapt to changing priorities and conflicting time demands as directed.
  • Provide reliable and timely support for the Mechanical Dept. and other departments as needed.

Your Expertise:

  • High School or Equivalent required. 
  • Technical/Trade School desired. 
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to handle multiple opportunities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn.
