Accounting Manager

Responsible for all segments of the general accounting function. Manages the development, implementation and/or maintenance of one or more accounting systems, either directly or through subordinate supervisors: Journal entries, General Ledger, Cash, Accounts Payable, various accruals, etc. in accordance with US GAAP and any other applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. Designs and maintains operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improves efficiency to ensure that the systems of internal and accounting controls are in place and operating effectively. Ensures integrity of data produced into systems and supports objectives of the Business Units and Divisions. Ensures the accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of accounting data and other financial results. Participates in annual audits and special projects. Responsible for the employment, training, motivation, and evaluation of assigned employees.

Your Challenge:

  • Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers preparing operating and financial statements, reconciling bank statements, and currency conversion as needed.
  • Directs fixed asset control and depreciation, accrual to meet anticipated liabilities, preparation of general tax reports such as those for income tax provisions, and payable/receivables.
  • Assists in the development of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, and/or accounting.
  • Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
  • Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems. Assists with the installation and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and control.
  • Coordinates submissions to the Defense Contract Management & Audit Agencies, including Forward Pricing, Incurred Cost Submissions, and Disclosure Statements in accordance with CAS standards. Main contact for DCAA audits.
  • Coordinates Management reporting -- budgeting/forecasting, variance analysis, departmental spending.

Your Expertise:

  • Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • CPA, CA, CGA, CMA desired
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience
  • 3-5 years of management experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with knowledge of MS Office.
  • Experience with OneStream financial reporting tool
  • Experience with Infor Syteline or similar ERP
