Founded in 1951 to meet the special severe service valve requirements of the United States Nuclear Navy, Target Rock is today the premier supplier of highly engineered, valves and related products to both the U.S. Navy nuclear fleet and the global nuclear pow er generation industry. The first Target Rock valves were installed on the U.S.S. Nautilus, the U.S. Navy's first nuclear powered submarine. Business Development Intern

Intern request to assist Sales and Marketing with project assignments and reports.

Location: East Farmingdale, NY

Your Challenge:

  • Logging in / out RFQs including W/L data
  • Entering NT P/Ns into NT spares calculator
  • Pricing RFQs for our review. Distribute RFQs to internal stakeholders.
  • Reach out to Vendors for RFQs. Setting up folders on K:drive with RFQ info
  • Close out RFQ and correctly file electronically all approvals/submissions
  • Enter EB RFQ detail into EB Price log. Fill out short forms and bucksheets with cost detail for our review.
  • Run the myriad of oracle reports that are needed day to day, month to month to support the pricing process: EACs, Detail Reports, Summary Reports, Detail Summary reports, PO Historical reports, Download for Update reports
  • Add drawing numbers into the EB backlog, Fill out pinkies and distribute, Enter oracle data as per our procedures require
  • Misc excel formula improvements.

Your Expertise:

  • US Citizen
  • Computer database experience
  • Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Currently working towards a degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
