CNC Machinist

As the CNC Machinist you will program, operate and maintain the set-ups of conventional and CNC machines and tools. You will perform a variety of machining operations and modify / write CNC programs when required. You will provide lower level programing and machining support.

Location: Hatfield, Pennsylvania

Your Challenge:

  • Write and prove out CNC programs when required
  • Required programming to consist of a low level of complexity; typically, two and three axis tool paths
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose processes to eliminate variability
  • Manufactures and inspects detailed parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, drawings, and verbal instructions using a variety of machining tools and equipment (mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other machining equipment)
  • Assist and instruct others in proper set-up procedures
  • Keep work area clean and free from safety hazards
  • Maintain acceptable quality and efficiency level

Your Expertise:

  • High school or equivalent
  • 4-6 years experience working as a CNC Machinist
  • Manual Machinist experience an asset
  • Aptitude for detail and accuracy
  • High level of competency in PC based software including Windows, CAD, CAM (SmartCAM preferred)
  • Good Interpersonal, oral/written communication and customer service skills
  • High level of problem solving skills to research available resources with strategic thinking to ensure an organized environment
  • Persistence required to ensure workflow is maintained, and should have self management, initiative, dependability, and time management qualities and attributes
