Test Engineer

Test Engineers at Curtiss-Wright Nuclear Division are responsible for ensuring the products and services supplied to the nuclear industry meet the rigorous requirements of customer purchase orders, specifications, industry standards and regulatory guides. This is accomplished through development of testing and analyses that requires critical thinking and sound engineering judgement. Test Engineers work collaboratively with customers, vendors and the Curtiss-Wright team to achieve excellence.

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Your Challenge:

  • Utilizing inputs from the customer purchase orders, specifications, industry standards and regulatory guides, develops test procedures and analyses to establish critical characteristics and associated acceptance criteria for various components and systems.
  • Designs and supports testing, collects data and interprets results. Generates final reports and quality data packages verifying acceptance of the items or systems.
  • Evaluates failures and establishes recommended corrective actions.
  • Interacts and collaborates with interdepartmental teams to support successful completion of the work, including:
    • Technical input and review of customer proposals with sales team
    • Establishment of parameters and criteria for procurement team
    • Hands on support and troubleshooting of testing activities with test technicians
    • Resolution of comments from Quality Assurance reviews and inspections
  • Initiaties and supports innovative ideas to continually improve processes, resources and opportunities within the organization to drive growth and profitability.

Your Expertise:

  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • 2 yeears plus of related experience in a testing environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge and fundamental understanding of a wide variety of electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
