The Opportunity

Field Service Technician

EST Group is a business unit of Curtiss Wright and is a global manufacturer and designer of pipe and tube pressure testing and plugging equipment. Since 1968 the company has specialized in development, manufacturing and marketing of tools and systems that greatly simplify the maintenance of shell and tube heat exchangers and that speed-up in-service inspection of pipe, pipelines, piping systems and pressure vessels. Customers are primarily Refining, Chemical, Offshore, Power Generation, and EPC firms.

Working mostly with Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers: High & Low Pressure Feed Water heaters, Condensers, Re-boilers, Evaporators and Fin Fan Units

Location: Hatfield, Pennsylvania

Your Challenge:

  • Heat Exchanger tube plugging, tube testing and repair at customer locations including Nuclear/Fossil Power Plants, Chemical Plants, Refineries, US Navy vessels
  • Acquire knowledge of EST products to train EST employees and customers
  • Perform product testing and generate test reports
  • Perform production related tasks including refurbishment/rebuild of EST Group products, production support
  • Administrative tasks including expense reports, job billing, job reports, cost quoting, scheduling

Your Expertise:

  • Good interpersonal skills and customer interaction are a must
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and/or elevated areas
  • Associate degree or equivalent of 2 years of college/technical school
  • Two years of related on the job work experience
    Experienced with MS Office
  • Field service of customer's equipment is an important aspect of the job
  • Domestic/International Travel and overnight stays are required
  • In turnaround/shut down situations, long hours and weekend work is required
