The Opportunity | Graduate Engineer

The Curtiss-Wright's Sensors and Controls business unit are looking for a Graduate Engineer to join us at our state-of-the-art facility by Bournemouth Airport. Here, we design and manufacture flight critical parts for Commercial and Military aircraft and this is your chance to join us as we grow.

In this role you will be training to become a Project Engineer and receive full training needed to be successful. You will be applying your knowledge of physics to analyze and provide solutions using COMSOL Multiphysics for supporting the design of solid state and electromagnetic sensors and solenoid equipment for commercial and military Aerospace applications. The ideal candidate will have a physics background and have practical experience of testing in a laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present electro-mechanical product performance analysis.
• Generate test procedures and reports.
• Perform testing in laboratory environment
• Contribute to design reviews

Qualifications and Experience

• Physics Degree (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of Sensors and Solenoids
• FEA experience (COMSOL preferred but not essential).
• Solidworks and PDM (training can be provided)

This position may require exposure to information which is subject to export control regulations such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
