The Opportunity | Supervisor - Inspection

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the inspection department with assigned work ranging from gauge control to product inspection. An understanding of inspection equipment and pump design is necessary to successfully navigate and manage inspection task. Oversight and guidance to the inspectors is expected to ensure quality decisions that balance the inspection efforts with business and project needs.

Responsibilities will fundamentally center on the supervision of inspection personnel. Skill set development and ensuring appropriate assignments for direct reports is required to facilitate continued advancement of the CW inspection work force. In addition to a strong mechanical aptitude, the Inspection Supervisor must have leadership skills used in guiding the department.

Location: Bethlehem, PA (greater Philadelphia area)

The Challenge:

* Assign and manage inspection responsibilities to meet quality requirements, on-time and within cost allocations.

* Coach and mentor direct reports for continued advancement of capabilities and career progression

* Provide impactful technical interaction with customers and suppliers for all aspects of a project

* Review inspection documents for completeness and accuracy

* Conduct reviews of direct reports, providing constructive feedback and performance/development goals

* Support and/or lead assessments of new inspection opportunities

* Collaborate and actively engage with Project Management, Engineering and Operations to maintain awareness of production status

Your Expertise:

* Must be US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance

* Strong mechanical aptitude and a broad knowledge of CW-EPD product lines

* Demonstrated track record of sound and timely technical decisions

* Experience in leading and motivating a represented workforce (preferred)

* Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)

Travel: 5-10% of travel
