Payroll Administrator

Under general supervision, performs all required clerical duties necessary to prepare hourly, salary and commission payrolls.

Location: Idaho Falls, ID

Your Challenge:

  • Checks time sheets for accuracy prior to entry, reduces gross pay by all authorized and required deductions to net pay.
  • Edits and processes employee time records, entering the information through a PC to an automated system for processing.
  • Makes the semi-monthly general ledger entries related to the payroll functions and runs various payroll reports.
  • Investigates questionable data and takes corrective action when necessary.
  • Prepares and balances payroll summaries, W-2 forms, etc., as required. Prepares, sorts and distributes various payroll and miscellaneous checks (i.e. manual payroll, 401(k) payments, court, advances, promissory notes, 941's, stop payments).
  • Makes bank deposits as required. Familiarity with accounting and bookkeeping procedures.

Your Expertise:

  • 1+ years experience within administrative/data entry work. 
  • Advanced Excel knowledge required. 
  • General Ledger & Journal Entry knowledge strongly desired. 
  • Previous experience in payroll is an asset.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule of 30-40 hours/week with potential overtime. 
  • Self-starter and a quick learner.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
