Mechanical Quality Inspector

Reporting into the Manager, Quality Control, the QC Inspector provides quality inspection at source in order to meet the standard product readiness for completion and release of Mechanical Cabinets and Integrated Assemblies to be shipped out to the customers for deployment in a timely fashion and by ensuring quality and compliance were maintained accordingly.

Location: Monsey, NY 

Your Challenge:

  • Pull drawings per piece parts and pull drawings for final assembly.
  • Ability to read drawings and Inspect parts and assemblies per drawings.
  • Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests.
  • Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work.
  • Document, update and maintain quality inspection records by completing reports and logs.
  • Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Approve in-process production by confirming required specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating the required adjustments to both Quality Control Manager and Production Managers.
  • Maintain safe work environment by following quality standards and procedures and ensure compliance with legal regulations: such as AS-9100 and other MIL Standards as required.
  • Coach and mentor new employees in the department as part of enhancing their opportunities to grow leadership in others.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, attending seminars, watching industry videos, etc.
  • Accomplish organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Your Expertise:

  • High School Diploma or GED with five (5) years' experience in Quality Control Inspection of manufactured and assembled products.
  • Certificate or Technical Training Qualification.
  • Associates Degree from a recognized College or Technical Institution is an added advantage.
  • Three (3) years of professional work experience in quality control inspection of finished products in a manufacturing work environment and preferably in the area of electronics enclosures and consoles or in a similar position is required.

This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of U.S. regulations.
