We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join us in our Santa Clarita, California facility to design, implement and maintain quality assurance protocols and methods for our high quality products. You will plan, implement and manage compliance of manufacturing and production processes considering both internal and external safety as well as our quality and regulatory standards to support worldwide distribution of our products.


We will look to you to design methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products. In addition, you will perform analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary. You may be asked to review our internal and external specifications and standards (i.e. GLP, GMP, ISO, Six Sigma) to ensure complaiance and potentially provide product assurance documentation for some of our customer programs.


Responsibilities:

  • Develops, applies and revises quality standards for receiving, in-process and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements.




  • Reviews and evaluates in-process rejections, obtains disposition and implements corrective action as needed.




  • May interface with customers, vendors and various company departments to resolve quality problems and provide information.




  • Participates in Customer, Third Party, and Regulatory Quality Audits.




  • Provides technical support to inspection personnel as needed.




  • May prepare and provide product assurance documentation as required by customer programs.




  • Participate in the Corrective Action Board (CAB) and work with Corrective Action Report owners to effectively answer CARs, targeting zero past due CARs.




  • May assist with gathering and reporting data related to First Pass Yield.




  • Monitors Customer Scorcards for tends and inprovement opportunities for assigned programs.




  • Provide program/supplier quality support during new parts and mass production process which includes new part approval and suppliers nonconforming disposition, on-site audit, performance review etc.




  • May prepair AS9102 First Articles and/or review supplier First Article submittals.




  • May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards (i.e. AS/ISO, FAA, DFARS)




Skills and Experience:


  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Quality or other relevant field of study

  • 3-4 years experience quality assurance background with 1 year system related functions.

  • Internal lead auditor certification

  • LEAN/Six Sigma green belt certification

  • IPC-610 certification

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office

  • Experience dealing with PWB and PCBA assemblies.
