The Opportunity | Quality Assurance Manager


Develops, implements and maintains technical quality assurance and control systems and activities. Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products. Participates in reviewing engineering designs to contribute quality requirements and considerations. Assists product support in gathering and analyzing data. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the effective operation of the function.


Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Plan and implement quality assurance programs on customer orders.


    • Identify potential project quality issues

    • Compile quality assurance data packages for customer review

    • Review and evaluate contractual requirements in specifications and drawings with specific attention to quality requirements.

    • Develop inspection plans, measurement methods and recording forms


  • Provide supplier oversight

  • Lead and/or participate in audits

  • Interface with internal and external customers

  • Coordinate quality activities with customers, suppliers, and third-party oversight bodies.

  • Review and evaluate in-process rejections, obtain disposition, evaluate root causes, and implement corrective action when needed.

  • Standardize and improve quality processes and procedures.

  • Assist other departments as necessary in establishing standards relative to ensuring product quality.


Qualifications:



  • Must be US Citizen and able to obtain DOD security clearance

  • BS Engineering or equivalent

  • Experience in planning and implementing quality assurance programs

  • Strong attention to details

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Prior experience in managing a quality team

  • Prefer experience in:


    • Manufacturing environment

    • Regulated Industries (e.g., military, nuclear power, aerospace)

    • Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt / Master Black Belt certifications

    • ASQ Certifications

    • Auditor certification
