The Opportunity | Senior Tax Manager

Reporting to the Corporate Tax Director, the Senior Tax Manager (US) is primarily responsible for US International Tax research, planning and accounting. Responsible for recommending tax policy, as well as reviewing international tax components (BEAT, GILTI, FDII) of the US federal, state and local tax returns to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations.

Your Challenge:

  • Development & implementation of federal, state and international tax strategies, assistance with preparation and review of tax accounting and effective tax rate under ASC 740 (FAS109 & FIN48) and foreign exchange gains(losses) on tax balances. Monitor excess foreign cash for APB23 and make recommendations for cash repatriation.

  • Act as key member of acquisition team providing due diligence, tax planning and deal design for strategic US acquisitions, as well as supporting tax analyses for divestitures and business combinations.

  • Oversee the process, preparation and review of international tax schedules in US federal, state and local tax returns. Review of foreign tax credit calculations. Assisting with other federal, state and local tax compliance as required. Assist in the maintenance of SOX policies and procedures. Perform purchase accounting analysis and journal entries related to taxes for the business units under U.S. GAAP with respect to completed acquisitions.

  • Provide tax advisory services and support to business units. Monitor legislative changes in federal and state tax laws that may impact company's tax positions, including tax accounting implications and provide recommendations. Collaborate with other teams such as the accounting and legal departments to complete projects effectively. Maintain current knowledge of local, state, and federal tax regulations and the impact on company operations.

Your Expertise:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a related field

  • CPA designation

  • Training in US International Tax

  • Minimum of 7-10 years' experience working in a tax department for a public company or in an accounting firm

  • Strong expertise in US International Tax including GILTI, BEAT, FDII, FTC.

  • Experience with preparation of Federal & State returns utilizing tax software

  • Broad knowledge of Federal, State and Local tax laws and regulations

  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Word and Excel

  • Fully conversant in ASC 740

  • Strong communication and project management skills
