The Opportunity | System Administrator
The System Administrator's role is to protect availability and security of computer systems and network connections of the supported applications and business data. This individual also participates in the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Your Challenge:

  • Ensures the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, multiple databases, and during data transfer in accordance to business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. Manages all operating systems and end-user software.

  • Sets end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.

  • Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves hardware and software problems on desktops, servers, printers, and workstations. Escalate incidents as necessary.

  • Practices network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information. Analyzes system, server, application, network, and input/output device performance.

  • Recommends, schedules, and performs software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases.
Your Expertise:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

  • 2-3 years' experience managing servers.

  • Technical knowledge of network and PC, operating systems and hardware, local area network administration, security/patching.

  • Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.

  • Experience with Windows environment -- Windows Server.

  • Must be able to travel 4-6 times per year

  • Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance (DoD)

  • Due to the nature of this the work, applicants must be a sole US Citizen
