Test Technician

Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of tasks related to the testing of raw materials, manufactured products or manufacturing processes. Perform equipment calibration & testing, and testing & program inspections (PMI, NDT, MP, LP). Work as a contributing Team member to resolve possible issues. C.I to improve throughput of sample processing. Work as a Team with other Lab Technicians, including other shifts. Additional tasks as assigned by Quality Manager.

Location: East Windsor, CT

Hours: 1st Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Your Challenge:

  • Uses test procedures, investigates and analyzes test failures. Identify possible contributing factors for failing. Work as part of a team to resolve issues.
  • Documents the review and evaluation of in-process rejections and trends, recommending corrective action as appropriate.
  • Works with established test procedures and performs calibration of measuring and testing equipment. May assist with development of test specifications, methods and procedures.
  • Provides assistance in the areas of predictability, manufacturing processing, equipment and process improvement.
  • May prepare technical reports and product verification documentation summarizing findings and recommending solutions to a wide variety of technical problems.
  • May perform parts dimensional inspection for Z299.3 program.

Your Expertise:

  • High School or Equivalent required. 
  • Technical/Trade School preferred. 
  • Experience using various hand measuring tools such as microscope, calipers, micrometers, etc. 
  • Lab experience highly desired.
  • Must be able to read and understand drawings and blueprints, parts lists, inspection plans, and specification instructions.
