The Opportunity | Accountant - AR, GL

Location: Bethlehem, PA (greater Philadelphia area)


The Challenge:

* Responsible for preparation of invoicing to customers -- milestone billings, progress type billings, shipment billings.


* Minimum of 2 years accounting experience relating to AR and GL

* Must be pro-active and own the collection process; responsible for contracting customers prior to the invoice due date to ensure timely collection.

* Manages the forecast database to ensure invoices are generated as project work is completed.

* Performs month end accounting activities such as accruals and account reconciliations.

* Monitors incoming cash daily.

* Process and posts direct labor to the general ledger each week.

* Performs a labor floor check each quarter.

* Performs SOX self-testing for various areas with the department.



Your Expertise:


* Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance

* Responsible for preparation of invoicing to customers -- milestone billings, progress type billings, shipment billings.

* Must be pro-active and own the collection process; responsible for contracting customers prior to the invoice due date to ensure timely collection.

* Manages the forecast database to ensure invoices are generated as project work is completed.

* Performs month end accounting activities such as accruals and account reconciliations.

* Monitors incoming cash daily.

* Process and posts direct labor to the general ledger each week.

* Performs a labor floor check each quarter.

* Performs SOX self-testing for various areas with the department.

* Must be US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
