As an apprentice, you will receive training from industry professionals in our Customer Support Team as part of our Avionics Business Unit. You will have the chance to work in this busy team gaining valuable hands-on experience in customer service and administration while also having the opportunity to work across multiple departments within the organization, gaining insight to the business as a whole all while earning a Level 3 apprenticeship.
You will work with us onsite 4 days per week and you will also attend college on a day release format in order to complete your Level 3 apprenticeship qualifications. The Apprenticeship training course is a total of 18 months.
The Challenge

  • Provide a range of support to the Customer Support Team in areas including account management, handling orders from receipt to goods out, quotations and shipping.

  • Completing work assignments as directed by the Customer Support Manager

  • Providing administrative support across all areas including customer interactions, proposals and our booking system

  • Ensuring excellent levels of customer service are maintained at all times including liaising with other departments as required to ensure service levels are met

  • Learn about Curtiss-Wright processes, products, systems, culture and people through completion of the Apprenticeship scheme.

  • The successful candidate may rotate through various departments to gain wider business understanding

  • May provide support and guidance to other Apprentices and to the HR Manager in delivering induction / hiring activities, presentations etc.
Qualifications

  • Five or more GCSEs at grade 5 or above (or equivalent)

  • Genuine interest in completing an apprenticeship in Business Administration which must be demonstrated in your CV/cover letter upon application

  • A strong interest in learning business administration and customer service skills

  • Good computer skills

  • Self-motivated and willingness to learn
