The Opportunity | Electrical Engineer

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer who will grow to become the technical expert to champion projects and represent Curtiss-Wright with standard bodies, industry association, customers and prospective customers!

You will be empowered to design, develop, implement and evaluate methods for testing and qualifying electrical and electro-mechanical components and systems, and other hardware systems. Supports innovative projects to assist in product development initiatives. Participates in industry groups and efforts to advance such programs.

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Your Challenge:

  • Support critical projects for both internal research & development and external customer orders, working within the Engineering & Project Management Office
  • Develop test programs to ensure compliance with customer purchasing requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards & regulations. Determine design approaches and parameters for testing and qualifying equipment and systems. Anticipate and mitigate potential failure modes to improve probability of successful results.
  • Design and conduct tests, collect data and interpret results, make sound engineering decisions, document analysis and write test reports. Draw conclusions and reconcile differences between predicted and actual results.
  • Provide technical input on the generation of proposals for test programs.
  • Assist test technicians with setup and troubleshooting during execution phase of programs.

Your Expertise:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field. Experience with electrical systems and components such as circuit breakers, relays, switches, transmitters, power supplies and so on.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar or complimentary role in relation to electrical engineering
  • Demonstrated ability to apply sound engineering judgement to resolve technical challenges
  • Understanding and experience working with applicable codes and regulations for the design and testing of electrical components and systems including analog and digital technologies
  • Nuclear Industry experience (preferred) or other highly regulated industry experience required

This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of U.S. regulations.
