Quality Lab Technician

The Quality Lab Technician performs laboratory activities such as testing and report writing to enhance the quality system in place for Williams Controls.

Your Challenge:

  • Setting-up and conducting laboratory testing on existing and experimental products to validate durability (may include environmental, endurance, and product performance)
  • Building test fixtures and air delivery systems for endurance and environmental testing
  • Maintaining and operating environmental test chambers and vibration test table
  • Collecting data and preparing reports from testing for review by Engineers
  • Designing test fixtures and pneumatic control systems for test set-up
  • Compiling data to present to OEM customers
  • Developing and performing demonstrations for customers
  • Providing technical support and reference for the customer service department
  • Developing equipment to support and enhance quality control
  • Maintaining laboratory cleanliness

Your Expertise:

  • Strong skills working with MS Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of electronic test equipment such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes etc.
  • Ability to multi-task on several projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of LabView programming and/or SolidWorks 3D modeling preferred
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and electrical circuitry preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Associates Degree preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required.
