The Opportunity | Production Planner

Location: Bethlehem, PA (greater Philadelphia area)


The Challenge:


* Responsible for all planning activities relative to manufacturing.
Reviews manufacturing requirements generated by Engineering and then time-phases the requirements to support the master schedule.

* Determines material requirements from engineering and productions schedules.

* Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, engineering, testing, and scheduling.

* Plans parts requirements for layouts (kitting) and assemblies

* Prepares work orders/purchase requisitions for the production or procurement of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements. Also, prepares routings, pick lists, and shop job packets.

* Assists management in resolving problems concerning over-shipments, shortages, engineering changes and cancellations.

* Monitors and records status-to-plan data.

* May lead activities of non-exempt personnel.

* Recommends inventory.



Your Expertise:


* Familiarity with job shop operations.

* High Mix/Low Volume manufacturing experience a plus.

* Experience with inventory management techniques and principles.

* Familiarity with design documents (blueprints)

* Candidate must be a United States citizen.

* Previous production planning experience; rotating equipment experience.

* Must be US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
