The Opportunity | Project Manager

As a Project Manager at Curtiss-Wright Nuclear Division, you will have overall responsibility for executing projects for the supply of equipment and services to the Nuclear Industry. Projects typically encompass elements of design, integration and testing of systems that are important to nuclear safety. Project Managers work collaboratively with customers, vendors and the Curtiss-Wright team to achieve excellence and deliver high quality results within schedule and budget forecast.

Your Challenge

  • Responsible for planning, organizing, executing, and closing multiple projects for successful completion and performance consistent with contractual agreements and organizational goals.
  • Review and understand customer purchase order, technical specifications, and quality assurance requirements and translate that into project plans, budgets, schedules and other project management tools to effectively monitor and control execution of the projects.
  • Evaluate and manage risks. Anticipate issues and develop solutions to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Direct and interact with resources within the organization including sales, procurement, engineering, testing and quality assurance.
  • Interface with the customers while serving as the primary point of contact for assigned projects.
  • Leverage those relationships to acquire follow-on business opportunities.
  • Initiate and support innovative ideas to continually improve processes, resources and opportunities within the organization to drive growth and profitability.

Your Expertise

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Discipline (Engineering preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience managing moderately complex projects in regulated industry (preferably Nuclear)
  • PMP designation is a strong asset
  • Superior Oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong leadership qualities and sound decision making ability
  • Professionalism and commitment to quality and customer service
