Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions is seeking a growth-focused Senior Branding and Graphics Manager to play a critical role in supporting our expanding Marketing and Sales teams. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Digital Marketing and Communications, you will be an instrumental contributor who will lead the graphics team to ensure brand consistency across all our marketing mediums.

Responsibilities:

Working with all levels of management, you will provide strong leadership and coordination to deliver high-impact graphics and consistently branded creative direction for the corporation. Collaborating cross-functionally with the Web team, Events, Product Marketing, and PR, you will directly manage a team of two geographically dispersed graphic designers and manage projects with others on the Marketing team. Ensuring your direct reports are trained and equipped to perform assigned tasks expeditiously, you will manage project workflow and assign projects/tasks accordingly. You will be responsible for ensuring all work is performed to the highest standards of design and quality.

You will be responsible for continuously maintaining the company's brand aesthetics, both internally and externally. This includes reviewing, updating, and maintaining the company's visual representation in all aspects of design. You should be a confident communicator who understands how copy and visuals intersect to achieve marketing program goals. You'll help effectively promote the organization, its products, and services through creating valuable content that engages target audiences, improves conversion rates, and is aligned with the global marketing plan. In addition top collaborating with internal stakeholders, you must also be able to interact effectively with partners and other outside resources.

Leadership, development, and planning

  • Advise and control all graphics, imagery, photography, and video content
  • Provide creative team leadership through both hands-on design expertise and direction to internal designers
  • Identify and create capacity as needed for new ideas and projects, and effectively collaborate across teams and practice areas to get the greatest leverage, quality, and output
  • Manage to scale with the organization's growing needs while maximizing reuse
  • Proactively source and manage resources, and develop tools and processes to ensure the collective team is meeting deadlines and can manage ongoing workload
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of strategists, content creators, and marketing technology specialists to improve the quality of our work and ensure that creative goals are met
  • Shape concepts and see them through to detailed design and implementation across multiple channels and content types
  • Provide project status, liaising with designers and internal teams to provide accurate updates
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, digital landscape, and new media tactics
  • Manage the repository and organization of the file system for marketing assets
  • Own the templates and refresh the current catalog of marketing collateral in-line with our brand update
  • Manage the brand standards, including Corporate requirements, across Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions global business
  • Develop and own the Defense Solutions divisions branding and design guides
  • Management of rebranding programs/roll-outs resulting from acquisitions and other projects

Individual Contributor

  • Create original artwork in support of internal and external communications. Final output includes web graphics, infographics, presentations, white papers, case studies, brochures, videos, HTML emails, digital signage display images, logos, documents, flyers, and social media graphics.
  • Cleverly incorporate stock images, graphics, text, and elements of our brand design to create unique and compelling communications that inspire attention and action
  • Create and manage a repository of approved high-quality, modern platform/industry photography to use across all marketing mediums

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design with 5+ years of creative design experience, 3-5 years management experience, and an interest in and aptitude for technical subject matter.

  • Ability to lead geographically dispersed teams, dotted line reports, and project teams
  • Professional knowledge of graphic and web design software, including Adobe Creative Suite and other digital web-related software.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of email marketing, website CMS, and social media best practices and various platforms is preferred
  • Strong aesthetics and use of typography sensibility, as well as understanding of color, hierarchy, and layout
  • Experience with brand management across all media
  • Passion for digital media and devices, considering yourself an early adopter of digital trends
  • Hands-on experience with creative design disciplines/tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong time and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
