Peerless Instrument provides state-of-the-art electronic components, systems and software to the US military. Curtiss-Wright is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical System Engineer to join their Peerless Instrument facility in East Farmingdale, NY. We are looking for a creative Senior Engineer who has a passion to solve problems and the curiosity to learn new ideas and technologies. We are seeking resourceful candidates able to overcome new challenges with creativity, innovation and tenacity.

Your Expertise:

• Architect, design, and develop large instrumentation and control electronic cabinet systems including analog and digital circuitry as required
• Develop project plans, identify key milestones, risks, and develop time estimates for each milestone to complete the project
• Document work on technical reports and support management on proposal content

Required Experience and Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in an electrical system engineering role.
• Ability to understand customer requirements documents
• Broad knowledge of both analog and digital circuitry
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills
• Excellent analysis and decision-making skills
• US Citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Ability to contribute with all aspects of the equipment from initial concept through delivery
• Experience with Conduction Cooled VPX circuit cards
• Ability to work collaboratively with various disciplines
• Experience with military ruggedized designs
• Experience with PADS schematic capture tools or equivalent

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Required -- Master's Degree preferred
