The Opportunity | Senior Manager, Business Development

Evaluates, recommends and manages new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and/or joint ventures. Conducts and oversees market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. Provides leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives. May define vision, strategies, and tactics. May Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Location: Idaho Falls, ID preferred but home based potentially possible

Your Challenge:

  • Develops and maintains customer business relationships in domestic and/or international government markets.
  • Identifies and develops opportunities for business expansion and prepares detailed business cases and recommendations.
  • Develops marketing strategies and provides input into long range business plans.
  • Acts as liaison with government agencies and offices. Maintains level of oversight to ensure compliance with industry regulations, regulatory agencies, export laws and technology transfer as they apply to proposal development and contract negotiation.
  • May conduct research assessment and due diligence activities.
  • Structures, secures approval and executes negotiations strategies to capture contracts for new and existing products.

Your Expertise:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 10-12 years' relevant nuclear industry experience
  • 4 years' management experience with strategy development and/or sales experience
  • Experience with strategy development
  • Negotiation experience
  • Ability to structure/manage business dynamics
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills
  • Strong risk management skills
  • Strong team building, quantitative analysis, project/program management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • International business experience
