The Opportunity | Systems Engineer

Your Challenge

  • Provide analytical expertise during development of the product for electro-mechanical system.
  • Design to customer specification
  • Provide product performance analysis
  • Provide system requirements decomposition and validation
  • System modelling for electric machines and mechanical systems.
  • Solid modelling -- Solidworks
  • Provide structural analysis
  • Provide dynamic analysis
  • Provide life and reliability analysis
  • Meeting schedule requirements and deadlines
  • Providing training on new products and processes
  • Supporting failure analysis
  • Interface with internal and external personnel via telecons, presentations, etc.
  • Support formal design reviews
  • Conduct a wide range of tests on electro-mechanical products
  • Work closely with other departments, particularly Manufacturing & Production Engineering, Design Engineering, Quality, and Production Control


  • Producing analysis within schedule targets. Effectiveness is measured in terms of adherence to technical, schedule, and cost baselines and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintaining a productive, efficient, and professional work ethic under minimal supervision.
  • Working within the quality system and associated procedures.
  • Actively pursuing continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Continuously updating level of knowledge and skill.

Your Expertise

  • Graduate of technical program with a University degree in Systems/mechatronics engineering or Mechanical/Electrical engineer with associated systems experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral skills.
  • Knowledge of aerospace and defense industry requirements and demands.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure of schedule and technical constraints.
  • Ability to motivate co-workers and team members.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and theory
  • Knowledge of machine design, motor principles of operation
  • Knowledge of stress analysis
  • Experience testing and writing test reports
