We are looking to hire an Acquisition Program Manager at our Santa Clarita, CA facility. We were established in 1985 as the center of excellence for hardware-level system integration and advanced package design.

You will successfully complete complex proposal submissions from cradle to grave of the proposal process. As the Acquisition Program Manager, you will complete all pre-program tasks necessary to ensure that at purchase order receipt, the requisite Program Manager will have a complete document package to include detailed costing, assumptions for pricing (to include lead time, rates, pricing caveats, etc) for successful execution. These tasks do not include writing technical and management volumes of proposals. You will also work to support business development in coordination with customers on the forecast for impending purchase orders (scope/timing/etc.)

Your Challenge:

  • Defines, launches, and drives all aspects of costing and pricing for production, and developmental proposals by leading the multi-functional team to obtain all requisite inputs. Responsible to resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
  • Accountable to review all Request for Proposal Documentation in order to assure that all requirements with potential financial impact are addressed in proposal pricing or addressed with risk contingencies to include Proposal Pricing Instructions, Statement of Work, Specification, and Terms and Conditions.
  • Directly responsible for creating financial modeling for complex proposal positions, and to support Sr Management with "what-if" scenarios. Responsible for developing corporate approval packages that is in accordance with approved Financial Governance.
  • Responsible for leading complex fact find with DCMA, USG primes, and DoD contractor primes. Single focal point leading a cross-functional internal team to settle all fact find questions providing data that supports CW cost position and minimizes challenges in negotiations.
  • Responsible for negotiations and resolution of all issues up until purchase order receipt.

Your Expertise:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • 10-12 years of experience in Program Management, understanding government contracts (specifically FAR part 15 proposal, Fact Finds and TINA)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience in proposal submissions, cost estimating/analysis, pricing techniques, and MRP systems
