AR/AP Specialist

The AR/AP Specialist works under limited supervision to liaison between customers and sales to ensure accurate and timely billing and collection of invoices. Must be proficient with MS Excel software and have experience with accounting software packages.

Location: Paramus, NJ

Your Challenge:

  • Maintain systems, methods, and procedures for effective management and control of the cash flow from lock boxes to GL. CW Business Unit Intercompany reconciliations. Identifies ACH payments and emails to business units daily.
  • Performs analysis and assists in a variety of payable activities including but not limited to managing the day-to-day operations of the payables, analyzing and reviewing each payable cycle to ensure accuracy, verifies and updates vendor masters, research payable issues, closes monthly payables and prepares weekly and monthly reports for management.
  • Assists in Corporate closing activities including but not limited to processing/uploading/reviewing business unit and Corporate journal entries, inter-company cash, recurring entries, bank book and Procard transactions. Reconciliation of the Corporate bank statement.
  • Reconciles and processes payment for the Corporate American Express cards, Cass Utilities, Cass Freight, Rent, Ervin Inventory.
  • Assists in marketing tasks, runs reports, retrieves the marketing reports from business units, converts foreign figures to USD.
  • Assists both the Corporate office and all the business units as required.

Your Expertise:

  • At least one year of experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Associate degree in Accounting or related field
  • Proficient with MS Excel
