Job Description

The Opportunity | Assistant Unit Controller

Responsible for Business Unit's adherence to Corporate Policies; financial reporting related activities and process compliance with GAAP, Federal Acquisition Regulations, and Government Cost Accounting Standards. Interacts with all levels of management and staff to facilitate and effectuate necessary changes as required.

Your Challenge

  • Coordinate with CW Internal Audit and schedule the Control Self-Assessment (CSA) audits for first and second half testing.

  • Update Risk Control Matrices and Process Narratives including flow charts.

  • Ability to prepare audit tests, engage in audits and reviews to meet strict deadlines.

  • Identify compliance and system issues and act as lead with remediation efforts.

  • Schedule and conduct audits at TRBU entities.

  • Assist with physical inventories at all locations as needed.

  • Internal and external audits -- Manage, prepare and reconcile any audit issues pertaining to the business unit.

  • Review procedures and document testing of system processes for compliance and opportunities for improvement.

  • Assists with Government reporting requirements including audits, preparation of Actual Incurred Cost Submission and Forward Pricing Rates.

  • Update CAS Disclosure Statement as required.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Division Management

Your Expertise

  • Five (5) plus years of related experience including two years in manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, Auditing, IFRS, FAR, and CAS

  • Job costing experience highly desirable

  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows environment, Excel and Word

  • Excellent communication skills, good people skills, team player and knowledge of ERP-oriented accounting system

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

  • Curtiss-Wright Financial Policies

  • Oracle System knowledge preferred
