The Opportunity | Applications Engineer
, Associate

Your Challenge:

  • Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and develops submittals that comply with the client's requirements in matters of content, format, and structure.

  • Provide technical solutions to customers, identifies customers' purchasing requirements and technical specifications.

  • Interact with engineering groups to assist in the conceptual design of equipment.

  • Conduct technical presentations at customer sites as needed.

  • Prepare all technical proposals and work with all departments to ensure technical requirements/specifications are correct.

  • Coordinate resolution of product issues/upgrades/problems.

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 

Your Expertise:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Knowledge of analog circuit design

  • Understanding of databases (MS Access and SQL Server backend)

  • Proficient in MS Excel

  • Understand and able to read schematics

  • Exceptional professional writing skills

  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage competing obligations

  • Interest in working within a highly collaborative team.

  • Nuclear plant experience preferred.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to take direction and work independently; be able to manage time effectively; be proactive and willing to engage a wide variety of subject-matter experts

  • Proven ability to work closely with a diverse group of sales and technical experts, and to translate technical information into compelling sales messaging.
