The Opportunity | Project Engineer, Associate

As a Project Engineer within the Instrumentation and Controls' team, you will have the opportunity to follow standard practices and procedures for planning, directing, coordinating, administering, and executing many new R&D projects/programs.

Your Challenges:

  • Defines, launches, and drives mission-critical strategic and operational initiatives in core projects. Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.

  • Defines, acquires, and allocates budget, staff, and other resources necessary to accomplish the goals and/or objectives of the program group/function.

  • Track project schedule and costs. Report schedule escapes and cost overruns to management. Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering, construction, or extraction projects, and prepare contract documents.

  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications. Study processes to determine where and how application of equipment can be made.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information. Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs. Write performance requirements for product development or engineering projects.

Your Expertise:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering with at least 1 year in a similar role

  • Project management certificate is an asset

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office

  • Excellent organization and presentation skills

  • Ability to handle multiple opportunities and meet strict deadlines

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
