The Opportunity | Business Development Manager
Evaluates, recommends and manages new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, partnerships and alliances. Conducts and oversees market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. Provides leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives. Actively leads the bid team to deliver winning proposals on complex and fast moving new business opportunities.
 
Your Challenge:

  • Develops and maintains customer business relationships in domestic and/or international government and commercial markets.

  • Identifies and develops opportunities for business expansion and prepares detailed business cases and recommendations.

  • Develops marketing strategies and provides input into long range business plans.

  • Leads a multi-disciplinary team to develop proposals for new business on future Aerospace programs, including providing guidance to the team on pricing, schedule, contract terms, competitive positioning and technology.

  • May conduct research assessment and due diligence activities.

  • Structures, secures approval and executes negotiations strategies to capture contracts for new and existing products.
 
Your Expertise:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field

  • 7-10 years' relevant industry related experience in aerospace mechanical or electrical systems

  • Experience selling complex technology to aerospace OEMs (commercial or defense)

  • Cross culture communication skills, negotiation experience

  • The ability to structure/manage business dynamics

  • Hands-on approach to problem solving

  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills

  • Strong risk management skills

  • Strong team building

  • The ability to do quantitative analysis and project management

  • International business experience

  • Must be US citizen
