The Opportunity | Business Intelligence Analyst


Curtiss-Wright EST Group is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support our Senior Management team in Hatfield, Pennsylvania. This critical role will be providing business support and problem solving to our General Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing, and other business unit managers.


You will be responsible for carrying out analysis of business issues, determining data trends, presenting solutions and preparing communications materials. You will have proven ability handling details of highly confidential and critical business nature including making contacts of a sensitive nature inside and outside the company. The successful candidate will lead and be responsible for management reporting, have outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships. In this role, the Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the design, development, implementation, management and support of mission- critical enterprise BI reporting and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and environments. Your Challenge


  • Providing high level support to the Senior Management and key stakeholders internally and externally

  • Collecting and preparing information for use in discussions/meetings of Management staff and outside individuals

  • Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes

  • Preparing presentation materials

  • Working on routine problems and analyzing data to provide insight and solutions to decision-makers

  • Coordination, preparation of materials and progress chasing of regular business reports (e.g. Monthly management reports, quarterly management reports, annual plans/objectives setting and reporting)

  • Managing internal tracking databases and distributing industry news

  • Keeping accurate and updates worldwide representative lists and distributing any updates as appropriate

  • Ensuring Representatives and Distributor contacts are prepared correctly, revised appropriately, submitted for appropriate approvals and completed in line with all due diligence

  • Providing templates, modifications and distribution for sales forecasts

  • Completing appropriate screening and due diligence is completed on all new customers

  • Supporting the Sales Team in providing technical and administrative product information, sales documentation and ad-hoc requirements to satisfy customer requirements

  • Planning and implementing projects that support the sales organization

  • Working in conjunction with Market Research to ensure market analysis data is used for quotations

  • Training for any new team members, representatives and new system users

  • Supporting Marketing to provide data for email campaigns, release information

  • Ad-hoc duties to support the business in all areas of reporting, data, research and communications



Your Expertise



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, or relevant related field

  • A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and proven experience in this area

  • Visual Modeling techniques

  • Outstanding communication and attention to detail skills

  • Expert in MS Office including Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Experience with Access Database

  • SQL/Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) experience

  • Basic coding ability (e.g. scripting to move and transform data between various systems and APIs)

  • CRM administration experience desirable
