The Opportunity | Commercial Project Scheduler



The Commercial Project Scheduler performs the necessary Project Administrative and Control activities to support their assigned projects, which include project set-up activities, planning and coordination of purchase materials, allocation of Bill of Materials and development of a Project Work Plan (PWP). The Scheduler is responsible for developing, inputting and updating project schedules, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), cost profiles, cost and revenue budgets. They will also perform basic analysis of schedules and budgets to identify potential risks and opportunities.



Major Accountabilities /Deliverables



  • Create and maintain project schedules depicting all project pre-requisite activities, manufacturing operations, purchasing activities, and customer commitments in support of the Production Control activities as required per the Project Management Standards Manual (PMSM) for the assigned production, design, and forecasted projects. Inputs for these actions will be provided by Manager.



  • Develops, maintains schedules and material requirements lists, for products, proposal efforts and/or production processes.



  • Perform Project Set-up Activities as required by per the PMSM for the assigned production, design, and forecasted projects. Inputs for these actions will be provided by Manager.



  • Support management with quoting and creation of the Project Work Plan (PWP) as required, through the creation and maintenance of project schedules, cost profiles, and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) as requested.



  • Coordinate project related tasks, including supporting customer presentation preparations and scheduling, collecting action items and generating minutes from Project Team meetings as requested by Manager.

  • Provides input to management regarding problems such as scheduling problems, material shortages, design changes and backlogs.


Qualifications:



  • 2-3 years experience in a similar role



  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience with MS Office programs



  • Ability to work as part of a team is essential

  • Understanding of general business principles, work flow and project managament, with some amount of supply chain experience is preferred.
