The Opportunity | Continuous Improvement Manager



Responsible to lead the implementation of a successful sustainable Operational Excellence/Lean Enterprise initiative across division. Act as the change agent to transform the organization to adopt a Lean culture throughout the organization focusing on waste elimination, cost reduction, and process improvements.



Your Challenge




  • Responsible for implementation of a continuous improvement culture, which will impact internal and external customers, internal processes, and supplier base.

  • Integration of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement techniques and tools into daily processes that focus on waste elimination, cost reduction, and process improvements will be essential for successful transformation.

  • Responsible for translating high level strategy into tactical business actions and forge real improvements. Lead Process Improvement Teams and direct timely completion of projects that support critical goals.

  • Provide support in the development of value stream maps, process mapping, and analyzing business processes.

  • Develop division and site level goals and metrics that encourage and promote Lean thinking. Ensures all improvement activities are identified, tracked, and clearly communicated. Identifies core areas of improvement which align with the overall business strategy.

  • Develops internal processes to reduce non-value added activities and provide business results. Facilitates process improvement teams and Kaizen events involving value streams core to the business.

  • Develops a score card methodology. Ensure procedures, policies, and standards are fully documented and up to date.

  • Some travel required.



Your Expertise




  • Bachelor's degree required an Associate's degree with equivalent experience, or Six Sigma Black Belt certification with five years' experience.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a dedicated Continuous Improvement/Lean /Six Sigma role in a related field.

  • In-depth knowledge of LEAN Six Sigma processes including experience leading process improvement teams and Kaizen events.

  • In-depth knowledge of process analysis, standardization, continuous improvement, value stream mapping, Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence.

  • Familiar with office and shop floor manufacturing processes including but not limited to machining, assembly, purchasing, operations, finance, and quality.

  • Computer literate and experienced with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Working knowledge of Blueprints, Model Based Definitions, & GD & T.

  • Must have ability to provide effective project management leadership.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
