The Opportunity | Director of Operations


Director of Operations will be the driving force behind the day-to-day manufacturing operations of our facility located in Nogales, Mexico ensuring high-quality, high-reliability products are produced and shipped on time to our worldwide customers. This is a key opportunity to join our Senior Team driving the long-range strategic planning process for operations by directing the management of all manufacturing operations.


You will be responsible for planning and directing all manufacturing activities to exceed customer expectations, while achieving company goals such as on-time delivery and consistently maintaining superior quality standards. As a strategic thinker, you will articulate a clear vision for the business, taking it to new levels using modern manufacturing techniques.



Your Challenge:



  • Defines goals, improves technologies, and resolves problems in conjunction with managers of manufacturing, quality assurance, engineering, and sales.

  • Translates customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company products.

  • Develops operations-related plans, budgets, and policies and procedures.

  • Maintains safety and regulatory compliance relating to the production facility.

  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

  • May direct manufacturing operations in multiple countries.


Your Expertise:



  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred

  • Over 12+ years of related experience in Aerospace manufacturing or related manufacturing environment

  • Experience implementing Lean practices and developing a lean culture in manufacturing

  • Strong initiative & leadership along with analytical problem solving skills

  • Must be able to lead people and teams without direct authority

  • In-depth knowledge of applicable process experience, financial analysis capability, strategic planning and conceptual skills

  • International manufacturing experience and acumen

  • Strong oral and written communication skills (in both English and Spanish) along with MS Office skills
